Elevatorist.com team has conducted the second inspection of Chesne Grain Collecting Station on 11 April. As Oleg Zlatov, Director of Chesne Grain-Collecting Station told us, the construction works are proceeding as scheduled. They did not fall behind schedule even due to complicated weather conditions of the last month. The weather rapidly changed minus temperatures into plus ones. There were temperature extremes ranging from -15 to +10 and they significantly hampered completing of all the processes, especially placing soil filling on the silo bin’s basement gallery of the silo in this line with storage capacity of 5 thousand tons.
The ground was frozen and it was impossible to use it for filling. But it was impossible not to to do the filling as well. Otherwise the silo bin could sink in and fall down. We had no time to wait until better weather comes, — Oleg Zlatov tells.
But the way out was found. Which one? We’ll tell you in this issue.
