The next check test of Khrystynivske Grain-Collecting Station’s expansion was done on 20 June. The changes were visible almost at the approaches to the site – the road leading to the elevator was repaired. Now it is a real pleasure to take driving here — “with no fuss and no dust”. This fact is especially appreciated by people living nearby.
At this very stage the elevator is totally ready to take grain crops of early maturity group – barley, wheat, and rapeseed. We’ve completely finished the construction of laboratory premises, transferred, re-gauged and re-calibrated all necessary equipment. We also set the scales into operation, — Oleksiy Tsurkan, Director of Grain Elevators Division of Alebor Group of Companies told us.
In this issue Elevatorist.com will tell you about:
Progress of silos construction works;
Grain dryer’s capacities increase;
Transport equipment scheme for new consruction stage;
Site improvements.
During our last visit as of 16 May there was the first flat-bottom silo bin mounted at Khrystynivke Grain-Collecting Station. The workers were assembling the roof and started the third silo’s construction. The rest three bins were at the stage of foundation works.
Just a month later (20 June) there are three fully mounted silo bins with storage capacity of 10 thousand tons each at Khrystynivke Grain-Collecting Station. Construction of three more bins was in progress. Additional team of workers arrived to speed up the process. It is planned to finish construction of the remained three bins within 5 weeks.
Although, according to Oleksiy Tsurkan, some complications still took place. Heavy thunderstorms and winds stopped the process of mounting, that’s why there was a threat of schedule overrun. Nevertheless, duly taken measures allowed to meet the time schedule limits again.
